JOS HALUAT: Jos haluat vahvistaa genetiivin tuntemusta, niin katso video 👉yksikön genetiivi ja monikon genetiivi. If you are not that far, leave plural gen. off. It is not easy, but for the advanced students!

We will learn together (in the near future):

• TÄYTYY -lause (nesessive clause)
• and the basic use of genetive

 On our last session we repeated everything we have learned! 

Everyone introduced him/herself in Finnish. We also made a bunch of sentences using the A, B, C technique:

A gives you WHEN MILLOIN? 

B gives you WHO KUKA?

C gives you VERB MITÄ TAPAHTUU?

And then you make a correct sentence (also negative and question).

We had a fun lesson!

 Verbejä, verbejä, verbejä.

March 13th we practised conjugation of verbs on group 1. Make sure that you have a note / index card / poster etc. to remember this: 

VERBINTAIVUTUS

So, we know both singular and plural conjugation now:

minä + n            sinä + t            hän&se + DOUBLE VOWEL

me + mme        te + tte            he&ne + vat/vät

Here is NEGATIVE conjugation

The endings are exactly the same, but you add them to EI-word:

en     et     ei     emme     ette     eivät     and add the verb in the basic form minus the  LAST VOWEL. istu-a, sano-a, etsi-ä, puhu-a --- DROP -a/-ä

 Kaikki verbeistä! All about verbs!

We practiced how to conjugate verbs in group 1 and OL-LA (3) in singular: minä, sinä, hän/se in positive and negative. Remember: EI is a verb, so it always conjugates! We also know how to make a question with -ko/-kö. Go back to last post if you need to repeat. 

Here´s ONE WAY to make sense out of it: VERBITAULUKKO. 

Here are other ways to help you: Verbitaivutus1, Posittonegat. KOquestion. Use the ones you want to, or make your own! We will learn plural forms (me, te, he/ne) on March 13th!

👉KOTITEHTÄVÄ/HOMEWORK: Ensimmäiseksi sinun täytyy esitellä itsesi suomeksi! First of all, be prepared to 👉introduce yourself in Finnish and tell us WHY you want to study Finnish. 

Tammikuussa jatkamme partitiivin oppimista - lauseissa. We will keep working in partitive case - in sentences. 

Ensimmäiseksi KENELLÄ ON -lause. First you will learn to express POSSESSIVE/who has something. Here is a simple online video ,         another 👉good video and online excercise.
